Great Scott! Bandai has released a teaser commercial for a new "Back to the Future" inspired iPhone case that turns an ordinary iPhone 6 into a DeLorean time machine.

The Japanese company showed off its mini DeLorean iPhone case in a video teaser this week, which confirmed the product will reach stores in Japan this June for around 5,940 yen, or $50 USD.

Though the case adds 41mm to the height of your iPhone 6 and isn't designed to go 88 mph into the past or future if you drop it, fans won't be disappointed due to an assortment of cool interactive parts.

The DeLorean's headlights light up when a user receives a call, thanks to built-in LEDs, according to Bandai.

So how do you take pictures with the case on? Swing aside the hood panel that covers the camera whenever you need to snap a picture. Two panels on the side obscure the wake/sleep button, ring/silent switch and volume controls.

The new DeLorean case is the follow-up to Bandai's ridiculous Batman Batmobile Tumbler phone case.

The release of the new case, which is part of Bandai's Crazy Case, coincides with the 30th anniversary of "Back to the Future," which was released in 1985. It also celebrates "Back to the Future Part II" which sees Marty McFly and his girlfriend Jennifer Parker travel into the future with "Doc" Brown to Oct. 21, 2015.

An extravagant 30th Anniversary screening is being hosted by Secret Cinema in Los Angeles this year and other fan celebrations are being held all over the world.

So what do you think of the iPhone case? Would you buy it if it's released in the U.S.? Or is the cost a little too much for a case? Let us know in the comments section below.
