BMW Motorrad's New HP4 RACE Is The Ultimate Racebike

BMW Motorrad revealed its brand new HP4 RACE, a purebred racing bike which only 750 units will be made. The new racing bike was first seen at EICMA 2016 and was dubbed to be one of the best and most exclusive motorcycles that the company had produced. The bike is individually crafted by a small and highly specialized team to ensure the top level quality of the bike.

When it comes to engine, electronics and spring elements, the new bike is actually in the same category as the ongoing superbike factory racing machines, even surpassing this level of suspension since the bike will have a carbon fiber frame. It's even lighter than the factoring racing bikes that are used now in the Superbike World Championship and it's also a little above the MotoGP factory racers when it comes to weight.

The HP4 RACE has a claimed power output of 212 bhp and a weight of 171 kg with all the fluids. The company's engineers have also equipped the HP4 with high-quality parts like the FGR 200 USD forks, Brembo GP4 monobloc brake calipers, TTX 36 GP spring strut, Titanium pistons, single-piece aluminum calipers with nickel-plating and much more.

In addition, the new HP4 gets a 999 cc, in-line four engine which makes a massive 212 bhp at 13,900 rpm. The peak torque output is rated at 120 Nm at 10,000 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed close ratio race-spec gearbox.

When it comes to the company's products, the HP4 will also be equipped with a top-shelf package of electronics along with different options for setting up the bike. In fact, electronics such as engine brake control, traction control, and wheelie control can be programmed for each gear.

As mentioned above, BMW Motorrad will only manufacture 750 units of the HP4 RACE. Pricing hasn't been revealed yet, but expect it to be expensive.
