The 2017 Ford Focus RS Is The Ideal Car For The Rally Car Enthusiast

Rally car enthusiasts do not have to look elsewhere for a car that fits their desired specs since the Ford Focus RS has been introduced here. The car boasts of a turbocharged 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine that generates 350 horsepower, 350 lb-ft of torque on four wheels in a six-speed transmission setup.

According to a report from Car and Driver, the 5-sitter 2017 Ford Focus RS car can accelerate to 60 miles per second in 4.6 seconds. The car uses19-inch Michelin Pilot Super Sports tires and a tester opined that the Ford Focus SR is better than the Subaru WR series and the VW Golf R.

The Ford Focus RS is a very popular car in Europe and the leader in its class in Great Britain. It is finally being shifted back to its main shores and recent tests made on the vehicle are very encouraging.

The car has topped the 2015 record by the Mustang in the 2016 Lightning Lap and dominated the comparison tests with Volkswagen Golf and Subaru WRX STI in Europe. The Ford Focus RS performance can be attributed in part to the Michelin Pilot Super Sport radials which come with the car from the factory.

The nineteen-inch Michelin Wheel and Radials used in the Ford Focus RS cost $1990 if purchased separately and many believe that they are a big factor to the way the Ford Focus RS handles curbs, fast accelerations and speeds up to 165mph. The same tires are used by many rally car enthusiasts worldwide.

While the car's performance in a race track test conditions is excellent, breaking in a new Ford Focus RS in public roads may be a bit tricky. The car performs well at high speeds, high rpm mode but vibrates at low speeds on regular lane roads.

After the breaking in period, the driver will enjoy the way the Ford Focus RS  responds to the steering and speed maneuvers desired. With its 350 hp turbocharged engine powering its aerodynamic configurations, the Ford Focus RS is the ideal car for the car rally enthusiast.
